Rob Armstrong is the Financial Times’ US financial commentator and an author of its Unhedged markets newsletter. He co-hosts the Unhedged podcast with Katie Martin, discussing the forces behind financial-market moves. His FT career has included reporting on banking, editing the Lex column and serving as chief editorial writer. Before becoming a journalist, Armstrong worked as a hedge-fund analyst. He holds a doctorate in philosophy from Columbia University.

Katie Martin

Katie Martin is a Financial Times markets columnist, editorial board member and co-host of Unhedged with Rob Armstrong. Her writing includes the weekly Long View column, which examines market trends and investor behavior. She previously served as the FT’s markets editor and worked on its live news service. Before joining the FT in 2015, Martin spent 11 years covering markets at the Dow Jones and Wall Street Journal group.
